Rapid population growth in Hall County is challenging the Hall County Parks professionals to find land and provide recreation opportunities for their citizens. Columbia Engineering is provided land planning and civil engineering for this twenty-two acre community park on J.M. Turk Road in southern Hall County. Our goal was to design a Master Plan which reflects respect for environmental features while making use of the land for community enjoyment. In addition to working with our client to create a functional arrangement for programmed facilities, we were charged with evaluation of the need for storm water management, water quality and requirements of environmental and development codes. In order to make the Master Plan as valuable and realistic as possible, we provided a preliminary grading study and earthwork cost estimate.
