Coweta County Flood Study Structure Survey

Columbia provided structure inventory field surveying services for the Coweta County Flood Study as a sub-consultant to Dewberry. Columbia created an ARCGIS project file consisting of the feature classes of streams, roads, county boundary, tiled aerial imagery and flood and storm structures. Using ESRI’s ArcGIS application, additional fields of “field status”, “submittal data” and “comments” were added to the working file for daily updates of work completed. The storm structure class was symbolized by level of survey work to be completed: 1 for detailed dam surveys, 2 for detailed bridge and culvert surveys, 3 for simple culvert and bridge surveys, and 4 for simple dam surveys. Approximately 600 bridges, culverts, and dams over 850 stream miles throughout the County were surveyed and delivered.
